Tipos de Evaluación Educativa

En el contexto educativo, la Evaluación (heteroevaluación, autoevaluación o coevaluación) es un proceso continuo, sistemático y flexible que sigue la evolución de los procesos de desarrollo de los estudiantes, persigue comprender y adecuar el diseño didáctico de tales procesos en las necesidades y logros detectados en los alumnos al guiar los juicios y decisiones académicas.

Stagefright, peligro en equipos Android

Importante para usuarios de Android:
Una severa vulnerabilidad revelada en agosto pasado, conocida como Stagefright, afecta a todos los equipos Android y a la fecha no tiene reparación. La recepción de un simple texto multimedia puede comprometer el dispositivo y todos sus contenidos.

Una serie de medidas para intentar mitigar un posible impacto es la inhabilitación de la autodescarga de contenidos multimedia en mensajes MMS/SMS en:
Google Hangouts
Whatsapp
Google Messenger
Mensajería SMS

Videojuegos en la educación

No es posible meter a todos los videojuegos en el mismo costal. Algunos, efectivamente, parecen inventos del de la pata de cabra, otros son francamente basura, pero hay una gran cantidad de ellos que desde su concepción son educativos o pueden adaptarse como tal.

Por ejemplo, hace poco (septiembre 2011)  el juego Portal de la empresa Valve fue ofrecido como descarga gratuita para demostrar sus posibilidades educativas, especialmente a los maestros. Vean la noticia:

En resumen, los juegos son una gran herramienta, atractiva para los jóvenes, que se pueden aprovechar de muchas maneras con fines educativos, especialmente los que se han diseñado exprofeso para ello, ya que capturan la atención e imaginación de los estudiantes.
